Hi Winifred! I hope you’re doing well. I’m also on Fabhalta and sometimes experience brain fog. However, it’s something I’ve experienced before—both with and without treatments—so, based on what other patients say, it seems to be a symptom of PNH rather than a side effect of the medication itself.

Brain fog is definitely something many people with PNH deal with, and it's now officially recognized as a PNH symptom — something the community actually helped bring to light!

While brain fog isn't listed as a common side effect specific to Fabhalta, it is a known symptom of PNH itself. So it can be tricky to know whether it's the condition or the medication contributing to it. A myPNHteam member shared some helpful strategies for managing brain fog day-to-day:

- Keep a notepad nearby to write things down as they come to mind
- Take a proper midday break — even just an hour to eat, rest, and decompress
- Listen to calming music to give your mind a mental reset
- Reduce stress where possible, as stress can worsen PNH symptoms

It's always worth mentioning brain fog to your doctor, especially if it feels like it's getting worse, so they can help figure out what's driving it and adjust your care if needed.
